Nursing Assistant Regional Staffing Student Opportunities

Infirmary Health’s regional staffing pool is a great opportunity for nursing students to work in a healthcare environment to gain important experience to help further their nursing career. Eligibility for the nursing assistant-student position within regional staffing pool requires that nursing students must be currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program and have completed the first semester of nursing school.  The regional staffing pool allows flexible schedules in a variety of nursing areas so that students can get a sense of the variety of patient care areas available in a nursing career. 

The scheduling flexibility of the regional staffing pool requires a monthly work commitment of at least 24 hours. Shifts are self-scheduled so students can arrange work around class schedules.  There are multiple locations where shifts can be scheduled, including Mobile Infirmary, Thomas Hospital and North Baldwin Infirmary. 

Once applications have been received, they are reviewed for minimum qualifications and forwarded for further consideration.  A letter of recommendation from a current clinical instructor will be needed at time of interview. Infirmary Health is an equal opportunity employer and additional employment requirements must be met.
