At Mobile Infirmary’s Center for Wound Healing, we specialize in the evaluation and treatment of wounds.
Chronic wounds are caused when the body’s healing process is delayed, usually as a result of common health problems such as diabetes or poor circulation. Our staff works to find the underlying cause of your wound and provide you with advanced therapies tailored to meet your specific needs.
The clinic treats a variety of acute and chronic problems, from ulcers on the feet and legs caused by vascular insufficiencies and diabetes to complex wounds such as necrotizing fasciitis and soft tissue radionecrosis.
In addition, we offer hyperbaric oxygen therapy, which helps speed the wound-healing process. Patients are enclosed in a single hyperbaric chamber that delivers 100 percent oxygen in an environment of increased atmospheric pressure. The therapy works throughout the entire body as the increased level of oxygen enters the blood and body tissues to heal wounds faster.
