What is a resident?
The doctors that staff the clinic are graduates from medical schools across the country and the world. They are part of a select group of applicants who are part of Thomas Hospital’s three-year Internal Medicine Residency program. They resident physicians either hold a Medical Doctor (MD) or a Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree and are currently completing their supervised clinical work before practicing independently.

In addition to the care you receive from the resident physicians, your care and well being is overseen by local, independent physicians who are part of the Thomas Hospital Internal Medicine Residency faculty. In addition to practicing in the clinic setting, the residents and faculty also see patients while they are in the hospital.
