Summer Clinical Experience
June 15–19, 2026 | Thomas Hospital
A one-week hospital immersion for rising high school seniors interested in medicine.
What students will do
- Round with residents and physicians in the hospital
- Attend morning report and noon conference
- Eat lunch with residents and faculty during conference
- Participate in hands-on afternoon labs from 1:00–3:00 p.m.
- Complete a brief Friday presentation on something learned during rounds
- Receive a certificate of completion
Planned skills labs
- Suture lab
- Ultrasound lab
- Basic Life Support course with card issuance
- Additional clinical skills lab to be announced
Who should apply
- Rising high school seniors
- Students with a serious interest in medicine, science, or health care
- Students who can attend the full program week
- Students prepared to demonstrate professionalism, maturity, and respect for patient privacy
