The annual rankings assess hospitals nationwide in procedures, conditions, and specialties to help patients and physicians make informed healthcare decisions. These included back surgery (spinal fusion), colon cancer surgery, diabetes, heart attack and heart failure treatment, as well as hip and knee replacement. The hospital also earned high marks in stroke care, lung and prostate cancer surgery, and hematologic cancer treatment such as leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma. In the field of cardiovascular care, Mobile Infirmary was recognized for its treatment of arrhythmia and successful outcomes in pacemaker implantation.
“To be named one of the top three hospitals in Alabama is a powerful endorsement of the care we deliver every day. It reflects the dedication and innovation of our entire team,” said Susan Boudreau, FACHE, president of Mobile Infirmary.
Thomas Hospital, located in Fairhope, was honored for its high performance in diabetes management, arrhythmia care, and pacemaker implantation, underscoring its commitment to quality care in Baldwin County and beyond.
