The Foundation has funded digital mammography, high definition laparoscopic surgical equipment, a heart catheterization lab devoted to electrophysiology study of the heart and raised $5 million to bring open heart surgery to Baldwin County in 1999. The Foundation funded the major portion of the cardiac rehabilitation facility on Nichols Avenue, as well as all the equipment for the new emergency department. Most recently, the Foundation raised $6 million to help build a new state-of-the-art Birth Center to meet the needs of the rapidly growing population.
