Mary Tabor joins Mobile Infirmary as Chief Nursing Officer

MOBILE, Ala. — Mobile Infirmary has named Mary Tabor, MSN, RN, NE-BC, chief nursing officer. Tabor brings more than 30 years of nursing and healthcare leadership experience to the role.

Most recently, Tabor served as chief nursing officer at HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital, where she focused on leadership development, workforce stability, patient safety, clinical quality and strengthening workplace culture. Her career includes senior nursing leadership roles across HCA Healthcare and 20 years of service in the United States Navy Nurse Corps, where she retired as a commander.

Tabor earned a Master of Science in Nursing in leadership and management from Western Governors University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Boston College. She is board-certified as a Nurse Executive through the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

Tabor will focus on strengthening Mobile Infirmary’s nursing culture, developing future nurse leaders, recruiting and retaining a highly skilled workforce and advancing patient safety and clinical quality.

As chief nursing officer, Tabor serves on Mobile Infirmary’s executive leadership team and oversees nursing strategy and operations across the hospital.
