About This Location

Before you go to a nursing home or similar facility for your rehabilitation, ask yourself these important questions:

  • Does the facility provide at least three hours of therapy a day?
  • Does the facility offer on-site physician services 24 hours a day, seven days a week?
  • Does the facility offer one registered nurse for every six patients?

Colony Rehabilitation Hospital, located on the third floor of Thomas Hospital, serves patients with all types of physical and neurological disorders. It is the only comprehensive acute rehabilitation facility on the Eastern Shore and in Baldwin County.

True physical rehabilitation requires highly specialized staff, state-of-the-art facilities, and hard work. At Colony Rehabilitation Hospital, patients are provided every opportunity to achieve the greatest possible outcomes by one-on-one attention from board-certified physicians, registered nurses, and registered physical, occupational, and speech therapists.

Treatment includes seven hours of rehabilitation nursing and at least three hours of therapy daily. Patients also have access to the most advanced equipment and facilities, including a fully equipped gym and community dining area.

The goal is for patients to return to their everyday environments as quickly and as well prepared as possible. Therapy sessions give patients the opportunity to practice activities needed to function independently once they leave the hospital.

Established in 2018, Colony Rehabilitation Hospital is the first inpatient rehabilitation hospital to serve the Eastern Shore and Baldwin County with comprehensive, quality rehabilitation services. The hospital is CARF accredited, the highest level of accreditation for rehabilitation facilities.

If you or a loved one should ever require rehabilitation care, the staff at Colony Rehabilitation Hospital is here to assist you. For more information, call (251) 928-2375.
