About Jose

Dr. Jose Galeas graduated with honor awards from medical school at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Honduras in 2011, completed residency in Internal Medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine – Jacobi in New York in 2013, completed Hematology and Medical Oncology fellowship at Albert Einstein College of Medicine – Montefiore in New York in 2019 where he served as Chief Fellow.

He was part of the American Society of Clinical Oncology Quality training program and cancer drug development workshop with the Federal Drug Administration.

Medical Interests Areas of Interest: Dr. Galeas is currently a reviewer for the Journal of Community Hospitals Internal Medicine Perspectives. He also enjoys teaching the residents of Thomas Hospital during their Hematology Oncology rotation. Research Interests:

Dr. Galeas is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society of Hematology. He has published in multiple peer-reviewed journals and presented his research in multiple national and international meetings with the International Association in the Study of Lung Cancer and the Multinational Association of Supportive Care in Cancer (San Diego, Chicago, Denver, New York, Copenhagen Denmark, Vienna, Austria).
