Mobile Infirmary's Ben Hansert elected to Alabama Hospital Association Board of Trustees

Ben Hansert, chief operating officer of Mobile Infirmary, has been elected to the Alabama Hospital Association (AlaHA) Board of Trustees as a Member at Large.

Hansert will serve alongside fellow board members to help guide AlaHA's efforts to support hospitals and improve healthcare for communities across Alabama through advocacy, education and member services.

"I am deeply honored to join the Alabama Hospital Association Board of Trustees," Hansert expressed. "I look forward to collaborating with healthcare leaders across our state to strengthen our healthcare workforce, improve quality of care and advocate for the patients and communities we serve every day."

Hansert began his healthcare career as a registered respiratory therapist at Mobile Infirmary before advancing to leadership at Infirmary Health. He previously served as executive director of Infirmary Medical Clinics and president of North Baldwin Infirmary before being named chief operating officer of Mobile Infirmary in 2021.

"Ben brings a unique combination of clinical experience, operational expertise and proven leadership," said Danne Howard, president and CEO of the Alabama Hospital Association. "Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a strong commitment to advancing patient care, supporting healthcare professionals and strengthening the hospitals and communities he serves. A longtime supporter of the Alabama Hospital Association, Hansert previously served three terms as president of the association's Southwest Regional Council and has held leadership roles with numerous healthcare and community organizations.

Founded in 1921, the Alabama Hospital Association represents hospitals and health systems across the state, working to improve healthcare through advocacy, education and member services.
