About Valerie

Valerie Staples, D.O., is a family medicine physician with Central Baldwin Physicians. As a family medicine physician, she cares for the entire family from newborns to seniors. She provides a broad range of acute, chronic and preventative medical care services. Including diagnosing and treating illness, routine checkups and health lifestyle management.

Dr. Staples is a graduate of Columbus State University with a bachelor of science in biology. She earned her degree in osteopathic medicine from the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Auburn, Ala. She has worked with the Childbirth and Postpartum Professional Association in Atlanta, Ga. as the director of doula programs overseeing the development of curriculum for doula certifications. Additionally, she volunteered for 14 years with Operation Special Delivery providing doula support to partners who are expecting babies while their partners are deployed.
