My translational research interests include genetic/molecular determinants of racial healthcare disparities in gynecologic malignancies. As Associate Director of Clinical Research, it allows me the opportunity to be involved in the early phase development of novel agents while creating translational sponsored research that fosters knowledge of predictive and prognostic biomarkers as well as increased efficacy of cancer therapeutics in patients of color. Collectively, these efforts strive to not only reduce the inequity of cancer care in racial minorities but to overcome it
