Infirmary Health announces strategic partnership with Industrial Wellness Rehab

Mobile, Ala. – As of March 1, 2022, Infirmary Health and Industrial Wellness Rehab (IWR) have entered into a strategic partnership to enhance the industrial rehabilitation services across the Gulf Coast region. Under the leadership of Richard and Lisa Sullivan, IWR has provided outpatient industrial rehabilitation to the region for more than 30 years. Through this new partnership, Infirmary Health and IWR will strengthen their outpatient services offering across industrial rehabilitation, physical therapy, sports medicine, orthopaedics, corporate wellness and occupational medicine.

“The relationship with IWR further expands the reach of Infirmary Health’s outpatient offering for employers in Mobile and Baldwin Counties and beyond,” said Mark Nix, President and CEO of Infirmary Health. “Our vision is to be the Gulf Coast’s FIRST CHOICE for healthcare, and we are excited to make IWR a part of strategic initiatives to fulfill this vision.”

Richard Sullivan joins Infirmary Health as the Director of Industrial Wellness and Occupational Medicine. In his new role, he will help guide Infirmary Health’s efforts to continue to provide employers and the worker’s compensation market with a comprehensive occupational health program including industrial rehabilitation, corporate wellness and occupational medicine.

“IWR will continue to provide customized industrial therapy programs using real occupational conditions,” said Richard Sullivan. “Joining Infirmary Health will allow us to provide a broad range of healthcare services for employers to care for their employees from pre-hire employment to retirement.”

IWR’s services include agility and post-offer employment screenings, ergonomic assessments, proactive injury treatment, preventative education, Functional Capacity Evaluation, work conditioning and work hardening programs, as well as both physical and occupational therapy. IWR will continue to see patients at their Brookley Complex location at 2048-A S. Broad Street in Mobile.
