Kidney disease risk factors can include

  • Heart disease
  • Smoking
  • Obesity
  • Ethnicity
  • Family history
  • Age

Because signs and symptoms of kidney disease are often nonspecific. You might not be aware that you are dealing with kidney disease until irreversible damage has occurred.

That's why it's important to take your risk factors SERIOUSLY. Early detection might help prevent kidney disease from progressing to kidney failure.
