Guest Information

In order to facilitate the best treatment possible and most rewarding interactions for our patients, each hospital has instituted the following visiting policies.

Infirmary Health has modified its hospital visitor policy to allow (3) visitors per patient at a time for Mobile Infirmary, Thomas Hospital and North Baldwin Infirmary. Infirmary Long Term Acute Care Hospital, J.L. Bedsole / Rotary Rehabilitation Hospital and Colony Rehabilitation Hospital allow (2) visitors per patient at a time.

One overnight visitor per patient is permitted (LTACH, Rotary & Colony excluded). Visitor hours for Infirmary Health hospitals are as follows (exceptions apply):

Mobile Infirmary

Mobile Infirmary welcomes non-ICU visitors every day from 8 a.m. – 8:30 p.m. ICU visitors are permitted daily from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. – 6 p.m.

Infirmary LTAC Hospital is open to two visitors per patient at a time from 11 a.m. – 8:30 p.m. daily. No overnight visitors are permitted.

J.L Bedsole / Rotary Rehabilitation Hospital is open to two visitors per patient Monday through Saturday 4 – 8:30 p.m. and on Sundays from 8 a.m. – 8:30 p.m.

Senior Behavioral Health is open to two visitors, age 14 and older, per patient from 12 - 1 p.m. daily.

Thomas Hospital

Thomas Hospital is open to non-ICU patients from 8 a.m. – 8:30 p.m. every day. ICU patients may be visited at any time except for 6 a.m. – 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.

Colony Rehabilitation Hospital is open to visitors Monday through Saturday 4 – 8:30 p.m. and on Sundays from 8 a.m. – 8:30 p.m.

North Baldwin Infirmary

North Baldwin Infirmary is open to non-ICU visitors every day from 8 a.m. – 8:30 p.m. ICU patients may be visited every day between the hours of 9 – 11 a.m. and 4 – 6 p.m.

Senior Behavioral Health is open to two visitors, age 14 and older, per patient Monday - Friday from 3 - 4 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 2 - 4 p.m.

ICU visitation

All Infirmary Health ICUs allow (2) visitor per patient, age 12 years and older.

Emergency Department visitation

Mobile Infirmary Emergency and Mobile Infirmary Emergency | Saraland allow (1) visitor per patient.

Thomas Hospital Emergency, Thomas Hospital Emergency | Malbis and North Baldwin Infirmary Emergency allow (2) visitors per patient.

Senior Behavioral Health

Senior Behavioral Health patients are allowed (2) visitors, age 14 and older, at a time.

COVID Visitation

All Infirmary Health COVID units will allow up to (2) visitors at a time. All COVID unit visitors must wear appropriate PPE during the entire visit.

Outpatient visitation

All Infirmary Health facilities allow visitors to wait in the designated waiting areas.

Day-of-surgery visitation

All Infirmary Health facilities allow visitors in designated waiting areas.

Labor and Delivery visitation

All Infirmary Health L&Ds allow up to (3) visitors at a time. Sibling visitation allowed from 4 - 6 p.m. at Thomas Hospital & North Baldwin Infirmary.

Nursery visitation

All Infirmary Health nurseries allow up to (2) visitors at a time per baby.

Cafeterias

All Infirmary Health cafeterias are open to visitors for dining in.

Masking

Effective September 28, 2022, in concordance with these new guidelines, Infirmary Health will revise its universal masking policy to no longer require masks inside its facilities with the following exceptions:

  1. Masking ordered by the physician in order to protect the patient
  2. Patient requests that visitors or those caring for them wear a mask
  3. When visiting COVID positive inpatients, those exhibiting COVID symptoms or otherwise immunocompromised individuals

As always, we are committed to protecting our patients and staff. In following CDC guidelines, this revised masking policy is subject to change at any time.
