Services
-
Mental Health Day Programs - Clients are treated daily, Monday through Friday, over the course of
approximately four weeks. Treatment consists primarily of group therapy
with individual therapy. Family or couples therapy sessions are also offered.
Participants gain greater understanding of themselves and others, learn
effective skills for distress tolerance, improve communication skills,
and improve wise mind skills for treatment of mood disorders, personality
disorders, and/or substance use disorders. Clients are also seen by a
psychiatric medication provider once per week while in treatment.
- Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) - Clients attend treatment six hours per day, Monday - Friday. Treatment typically consists of 28 sessions of group therapy and 2 sessions of individual therapy per week. Individual therapy sessions can be used as family or couples therapy sessions per client request. The added structure and content of PHP is especially helpful for clients at increased risk of psychiatric hospitalization or when stepping down from a higher level of care such as a residential or psychiatric hospitalization setting. Typically, a client may be in a PHP level of care for approximately two weeks before transitioning to the IOP program. Some clients may choose to maintain this level of care through a treatment course as well.
- Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) – Clients attend treatment three hours per day, Monday – Friday. Treatment typically consists of 14 sessions of group therapy and 1 session of individual therapy per week. Individual therapy sessions can be used as family or couples therapy sessions per client request. Some clients may choose this level of care for their treatment course and others may use this as a “step-down” from a PHP level of care.
- Outpatient mental health therapy - Outpatient mental health therapy uses treatment and intervention, typically within hour long sessions, to address an individual’s mental health concerns. Therapy empowers participants to overcome life problems by building skills and resources unique to each individual. We encourage clients to follow-up with their established outpatient providers when they complete treatment. Our mental health therapists are available to provide outpatient treatment for clients when they complete IOP or PHP to continue on their healing journey if needed.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Do you accept insurance?
We accept most private insurances, Medicare, and most Medicare Advantage plans. We are continually working to expand options to help members of the community access treatment resources.
Do you offer inpatient psychiatric hospitalization?
We do not offer that level of care at this facility. This is an outpatient facility where an advantage is that clients do have a structured environment in the day and they can bring new information and skills back home each day. This level of care can be helpful when discharging from a psychiatric hospital for continued structure and skill development. Treatment at this level of care can also be helpful before symptoms become so severe that psychiatric hospitalization is needed.
Do you offer detox?
Our facility does not offer detox services. We recommend detox services in the area for clients who are at acute risk of complications without frequent monitoring. Our medication providers will discuss any available medication options for outpatient treatment not requiring such frequent monitoring for our clients with substance use, dual diagnosis, or co-occurring disorders.
How big are groups?
We keep our groups to 10 people or less at a time.
Do I have to participate in group?
Group therapy is the primary form of treatment at this facility, but clients are not required to have a certain level of participation in a group activity. Clients are often initially nervous about a group environment and quickly become accustomed to it. Clients often report that the group environment was especially helpful in understanding their own experiences and recognizing each person is not alone with their thoughts, feelings, and behavior. This understanding is often key in opening the door to change in their healing experience.
What model of therapy is used?
The mental health therapists in this program use a combination of approaches. Examples of styles frequently utilized would be cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), cognitive processing therapy (CPT), internal family systems (IFS), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT).
