At J. L. Bedsole/Rotary Rehabilitation Hospital, we help patients who have been hospitalized due to an illness or injury gain independence and resume their normal daily activities. We provide rehabilitation for patients affected by stroke, spinal cord injury, brain injury or other neurological illnesses.
Often referred to as Rotary, the hospital is located on the third floor of Mobile Infirmary Medical Center. It has served the community since 1931. We offer services to patients ages 12 through adult.
J.L. Bedsole/Rotary Rehabilitation Hospital is accredited by The Joint Commission and the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).

Therapy sessions are designed to improve mobility, strength and endurance. The length of stay varies based on each patient’s situation and diagnosis.
Therapists work with patients individually or in small group sessions. We encourage patients to visit the Cochrane Plaza, a simulated environment that includes:
- Grocery store.
- Beauty salon.
- Library.
- Car.
- Play area.
- Bank.
