We understand that deciding to place a loved one in a long-term care facility is a difficult decision. Oakwood - North Baldwin's Center for Living is a 75-bed licensed skilled nursing facility located on the campus of North Baldwin Infirmary. Our staff provides round-the-clock care in a clean, comfortable and home-like environment. Established in 1991, our facility includes both private and semi-private accommodations that are spacious and tastefully-decorated. We also offer both long- and short-term care.

Services

Dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease

We care for those patients requiring additional care due to dementia or Alzheimer's disease. Our highly skilled staff promotes and follows established safety precautions for these residents.

Dietary

Our dietary department is managed by Morrison Health Food Services. All residents receive a nutritional screening assessment by our clinical dietitian following admission. Meals are prepared fresh daily by our on-site dietary department.

Housekeeping and Laundry

We take pride in the cleanliness of our facility and all resident rooms are cleaned daily. Laundry services are also provided.

Activities

We offer a unique approach to social and recreational activities. Our certified recreational therapist designs daily activities that promote social and physical interaction, communication and fond memories. Oakwood also provides residents with transportation on outings, shopping trips and community activities.

Social Services

The social services department at Oakwood offers each resident the option to discuss and develop solutions to meet personal needs. Our licensed social worker promotes resident independence, dignity and personal fulfillment.
