Infirmary Hospice Care

Volunteers

Volunteers play a key part in providing our services. Many have experienced hospice services in the past and want to help others.

Our volunteers assist with direct patient care. Activities may include reading, prayer time and cooking. Volunteer visits often afford caregivers time for themselves.

Volunteers also provide administrative assistance for our staff. If you have filing, typing or general secretarial skills, this may be the area for you. Also, volunteers may help with special events and fundraising.

You must submit an application for approval as a hospice volunteer. Students ages 14 to 16 may apply, with parental consent, as administrative volunteers. A background check is required of all volunteers, as well as orientation and training. Click here to apply online.
